    A beautiful life!

Hello all, just over a month at home and still feeling a big adrenaline rush. I love this country, its people and HOT weather, the food and living the night as much as the day. It has been an amazing cultural revival, withing 48 hours from landing I had the priveledge of attending once again, the very magical Festival of Music and Dance in the Alhambra Palace and the Generalife Gardens in Granada. Three days later a folk concert in a plaza, and the following week the Theatre Festival lasting an entire week, and let me tell you that the quality of the shows was superb!! Then off to Sevilla to visit friends and family, there I met with some old colleagues which were on a couple of days break from their tour ( musicians), the drummer agreed to  come and play on my 40th party next June. Another two friends from different bands also agreed to spend the weekend with us in such occasion. My next stop was Merida, the larges Roman theatre outside of Italy and after the coliseum. I watched a really funny performance and walked along the river bank at night where we sat with Alberto who played his acoustic guitar for us under the moon, (classy). My brother Lolo lives there and works in a natural reserve in the area. Paddy of course was delighted to spend some time checking out all the wild creatures and liked it so much that he returned to Merida again last week. Then on to Marbella to check on my apartments, I had a couple of tenants over the summer so I had to check them in and out. Tomorrow off to Marbella again, I will sit my brother´s house and his two dogs while he is on holiday, Monty and Minden are fine and a lot more socialble than they were, as every house we go to has dogs and they all live in the gardens, so plenty of space for them to meet each other and fight if they have to. Monty likes the water too much and has just realised that swimming pools are a great invention, particularly if there are children jumping in and out of them.
Last week there was a magnificent three day Arabic Festival and of course me being so morishhhhh I mean from Granada but very much in love with the cultural aspects of the arab legacy in our land. At the weekend we had our annual family gathering which was great, particularly as this was the 6th year taking place and only the 3rd for me....all 97 of us had a great time, perhaps the 90l of beer, 50 of sangria, 40 of gazpacho and the 19 bottles of Rum and whiskey and about 100 kg of food had something to do with it...
Now the farm, the part that most of you will be wondering about....... still nothing, waiting on the bank to give me the money to pay the bloke so that he can go, hopefully in the next couple of weeks. Anyway my spanish mobile is from Canada 011 34 647 922 601, from the rest of the world 00 34 647 922 601.
Sorry to all of you for not answering your calls and mails, but I really don´t have time. I love you and I will call you I promise!!!
